SPORTS THERAPY.

SPORTS THERAPY

Sports therapy is a treatment modality specifically addressing the prevention of injury and rehabilitation of a patient returning them to optimum levels of functional, occupational and sports specific fitness regardless of age and ability.
Therapists use their skills and knowledge to optimise performance and prevent injury alongside providing the immediate care of injuries and basic life support in a sporting environment. Clinically, a Sports Therapist will assess and treat, planning and implementing appropriate rehabilitation programmes to normalise and restore biomechanical function. Once a normal range of movement has been restored, strength and conditioning exercise advice is given to get you back to either performance in your sport or functionality in your work.
